For true Nerd Heaven, nothing beats the original Star Trek!
The Next Generation wasn't bad, but I couldn't get into any of the other incarnations.

I couldn't have gotten through my hellish 4th thru 6th grade years without having the fantasy of Star Trek to bring me salvation. I was not a popular child. Tall, buck-toothed and gangly with unruly hair, I was generally the target of merciless teasing. So in my mind I retreated into the Trek universe where I was the popular and indispensable "Lt. Young Cheesemeister." Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Scotty, and sometimes even Dr. McCoy turned to me for advice. And Mr. Spock was in love with me.
I was such a dork.
Hmmm...still am. But don't tell.
As time goes on, if I get around to it, I'll discuss my thoughts on specific episodes.
